The “flats” in front of the property is shallow with calm waters teeming with fish and beyond the reef, the water is very deep for larger fish. Turneffe Atoll is recognised as one of the Caribbean’s top destinations for bonefish, tarpon and permit.

Turneffe Atoll is a chain of small Caribbean islands 20 miles off the coast of Belize City. At 30 miles long and 10 miles wide, this is the largest true atoll in Belize and the Mesoamerican Reef System. The Turneffe Atoll was declared a national marine reserve by the government of Belize in 2012.

There are two established resorts on the Atoll, Turneffe Island Resort and Turneffe Flats. The property is located just south of Turneffe Flats Resort.

Caulker, off the coast of Belize in Central America, 20 miles (32 km) from Belize
City. It is approximately 30 miles (48 km) long and 10 miles (16 km) wide, making
it the largest coral atoll in Belize.

Turneffe Atoll is located 32km (20 miles) east of Belize City and is surrounded by
deep oceanic waters. Turneffe is considered the largest and most biologically
diverse coral atoll in Belize, and in the Mesoamerican Reef ecoregion.
