The Lodge property consists of 6 acres of land located on the main tourist road to the famous Caracol Maya ruins and other tourist attractions.

The resort buildings include –

A restaurant, bar, dining room and kitchen. A reception office is attached to the front of the building.
Two 2-storey accommodation units.
Eight double room cabanas.
A laundry and linen storage building.
An additional outside bathroom.
Workshop and solar equipment.

All accommodation units have ceiling fans and private baths with hot water and the resort can sleep up to 25 customers in total.

Electricity is by solar and is run underground.

Bathing water is pumped and stored from the two mountain creeks on the property.

There is an area for RV parking and a hiking trail leads to a nearby waterfall. The creeks are popular with the guests for relaxing and playing.

Tours are arranged to the nearby Caracol Maya Ruins, Rio Frio Caves, Rio On Pools, the Thousand Foot Falls and further afield to the ATM caves, Xunantunich Maya Ruins and the world-famous Maya Ruins at Tikal in Guatemala.

The resort was awarded Trip Advisor’s prestigious Certificate of Excellence in 2019 and Traveller’s Choice award in 2020.

The property is remotely located deep in the Mountain Pine Ridge Reserve and about 15 miles from the popular tourist town of San Ignacio. It is considered a safe area.

Local wild life includes tapirs, quosh, fox, anteater and ocelot. There are many exotic birds and the resort is popular with birding groups.
