The house is in a remote location, close to the El Pilar Maya ruin site, with an all-weather access road, a few miles from Bullet Tree Falls. It is surrounded by rainforest and there is wild-life and exotic birds. There are several fruit trees.

It is only about 5 miles from the bustling tourist town of San Ignacio.
